UNIFIED VIDEO TERMINAL - UVT

Kutta’s Unified Video Terminal (UVT) is the next generation of Remote Video Terminal (RVT) technology for Unmanned System and Manned ISR platforms. The UVT discovers the vehicle and adapts to the level of interoperability available. It also scales across display devices and runs on Windows™, Android™ or Linux™.  The Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) variant UVT runs on the UGCS family of hardware platforms (UGCS 100 – 500), or it can be installed on existing computing devices.

UNIFIED VIDEO TERMINAL ENHANCED - UVTe

The UVTe enhanced mode (UVTe) provides state of the art, simple, point and click LOI 3 and LOI 4 Supervised Usage of unmanned aircraft systems, commonly referred to as Bi-Directional Remote Video Terminal (BDRVT). The UVTe is based on a DO-178 guidance. Elements of the architecture and software form an integral part of the US Army’s OSRVT™ Block II program of which thousands are fielded.

Stare-At

This feature allows a user to simply point and click on a map to direct the unmanned system. The autonomous auto-router which is based on DO-178,  generates a safe, reliable, and multi-waypoint mission plan that avoids terrain as well as any known no-fly zones while ensuring that the unmanned vehicle stays within the radio frequency line of sight of the controller (i.e. prevents lost link).

Stare-From

This feature allows a user to simply point, click, and drag to define the directional reconnaissance needed on an objective. It is especially useful to allow a user to keep the UAS’s payload focused on the side of a mountain or a building. The autonomous auto-router that is based on DO-178,  generates a safe, reliable, and multi-waypoint mission plan that avoids terrain, as well as any known no-fly zones while ensuring that the unmanned vehicle stays within the radio frequency line of sight of the controller (i.e. prevents lost link).

Follow and Track

This feature allows the operator to engage an autonomous follow and track mode while the unmanned system constantly utilizes the DO-178 based auto-router to avoid terrain, as well as no-fly zones, and stay within the radio frequency line of sight of the controller.

Route and Area Survey

This feature allows a user to simply place points along a route or simply define an area to be surveyed. The user can also define the resolution of the imagery needed by utilizing a simple National Imagery National Imagery Interpretability Rating scale (NIIRS). The advanced planning algorithm determines a multi-waypoint flight plan and autonomously sequences the payload to ensure the video is captured at the required resolution.

Auto-Routing

The autonomous auto-router feature is designed to be air vehicle independent and is based on DO-178. The auto-router works in conjunction with all the features above to generate safe, reliable, and multi-waypoint mission plans that avoid terrain, as well as any known no-fly zones, while ensuring that the unmanned vehicle stays within the radio frequency line of sight of the controller.
